Week 36-39

My Fit Pregnancy Blog!

Pregnancy Blog

Hey Guys! This will be my last pregnancy post. I am all set to deliver by c section on Monday, 3 more days and this peanut is finally out of here! We have been back to the doctors every week to check the position of the baby and it is breech and has remained so this whole time. Being a breech baby the only option we have is to do a c section which is set for Monday in my 39th week. The last couple of weeks have probably been the hardest in my whole pregnancy. My journey has been a great one and I have loved being pregnant. I can say I have almost loved every part except for the pregnancy insomnia and back aches I have been experiencing over the last 3 weeks. Other than that it has been a dream pregnancy and I have felt fantastic.

Are You Interested in Guest Blogging?

Hey guys! As most of you know I am going to be giving birth in a couple of weeks. I had reached out a little while ago about guest blogging and I have lined up a few great guest bloggers but I am always looking for more. If you have never guest blogged before it can be a great tool for building your own blog especially if you are new to blogging. There are a few things that I look for when accepting blogging submissions:

  • original content (appearing only on nycfitfoodfashion.com)
  • must be relevant to fitness, food or fashion
  • great images
  • already own or write for a blog
  • no back linking or hidden advertisements

I have posted this a few times and usually get a good response from people who are genuinely trying to build up there blogs. I also receive a lot of messages from companies trying to disguise as writer’s interested in blogging in order to get free advertising. The thing as most of your bloggers know, blogging is hard work and a time-consuming job. It is very disconcerting when I receive so many messages from very large companies trying to get ad space for free. I need to make a living to folks! For those of you looking for advertorial and sponsored posts I do them as well. Up at the top of the page there is a page link for sponsors/ads. I have worked with quite a few companies now so feel free to contact me through that page and I would love to talk about rates and opportunities.

For those of you that have done guest blogging for me in the past and have enjoyed your experience please reach out and I would be happy to work with you again. I also am open to doing a guest blogging exchange where I can write a post for you in exchange for a post for nycfitfoodfashion.com. This way we both can gain traffic from each other and both of our readership will get to be introduced to a new blog that they may not have been aware of before. It is a win for the both of us! Start brainstorming and email me with some of your ideas. The other great thing about guest blogs is that I am able to get a different view or opinion out to my readers here or maybe even some topics that I had not even thought about yet. I would love to hear what kind of topics that you may come up with.

For this next period I am looking for posts to be submitted with a deadline by March 20th at the latest. That way I can post them and have a date for you in which they will go live before I am incommunicado for a few days with the baby! If you are interested in guest blogging please send me an email over at nycfitfoodfashion@gmail.com. I look forward to hearing and hopefully working with you!

Tuesday Shoesday-Nine West

Hello Fashion Lovers! It is Tuesday again so you know what that means. We will be checking out the shoes of Nine West. Since it is still winter we will be looking at their boots today. I will also let you know if any of them are an amazing deal. As you all know it is sale season so there are a lot of deals out there to be had!

Nine West Counter in CognacI love the Nine West Counter Boot in cognac. The color is so rich. You can find these gorgeous boots right now for $100.99. I love finding a deal on real leather!

Nine West Niteracer Over the Knee Boots

I love my over the knee boots but I could probably use a pair with less of a heel. These Nine West Over the Knee Boots would be perfect. They would go great over some leggings (which I live in these days) or skinny jeans once I am not carrying my baby bump around! I only buy real leather which these happen to be so they are a steal at $104.47!!

Nine West Lottie Wedgie Bootie

Who does not love a little bootie! The Lottie Wedge Bootie comes in 4 different colors but I am loving these vibrant purple ones. They also come in leather or suede depending on the color you want.

Nine West 7Fessup Black Leather BootieThe Nine West 7Fessup Black Leather Bootie would be a sexy addition to any one’s shoe collection. These gorgeous leather booties would be great for a night on the town and get this they are only $59.99. That is so amazing for a leather shoe of this quality!

Nine West Lory Tall Combat Boots

I can not remember the last time I fell in love with a pair of combat boots. They normally are not my style but the Nine West Lory Tall Combat Boot may have just changed my mind. I love the stacked heel and there is something tough yet girly about them.

Nine West Crab Shack Boot

Another great boot that would go awesome with your jeans on the weekend. I love the rugged leather look of these Nine West CrabShack Boots. They are kind of part cowboy boot and part motorcycle boot. Two style that I happen to love! The other thing I love is that they are on sale for $113.37.

What do you think of this week’s edition of Tuesday Shoesday? What brand/designer would you like to see featured next week?

Holidays (Week 25-27)

Here is a look at my pregnant holidays. I hope you all had a great holiday season!

My Fit Pregnancy Blog!

Hello Readers!! The holidays are now over and we have reached 2014. I hope you all had a fantastic holiday season. We did a lot of travel over the holidays and got to spend time with some of our favorite people in Texas and in Toronto. My baby bump really blossomed over the holidays and little peanut has been crazy active. It was definitely weird at first but now I am used to it and we love watching my belly at night. It is our new form of entertainment!

Fit Pregnancy Blog

I would love to be able to tell you guys that I had kept up my workouts over the holidays but it just did not happen. We flew to Texas on the 21st and I came back from Toronto on the 1st. During that time the only workouts I had were walking in either the airport, shopping mall or to get…

Week 23 and 24

Here is a look back at week 23 & 24 of my pregnancy!

My Fit Pregnancy Blog!

Hey guys! I missed a week so I have decided to wrap them into one post. Things have been pretty hectic since coming home from St.  Lucia and getting ready for Christmas!

Pregnancy Blog

We decided that we wanted to do a 3D ultrasound to give the photos to our families at Christmas. Going to the ultrasound was super exciting. It started off amazing! We saw the little peanut and he/she smiled and it was incredible. immediately after the peanut decided to hide out in a little nook that it has found in there. Once in that nook they can not be seen at all. The baby stayed there for the rest of the session. No matter what we tried, positions and stretches the baby did not come out! We made an appointment to go back the following week. We went back the next week and lo and behold the little one…

Week 22- Our BabyMoon

Week 22 was the best week ever! Everyone should go on a BabyMoon!

What can I tell you about Week 22?

It was the best week of my whole pregnancy so far! If you are pregnant or are planning to be, you have to go on a babymoon. It was so great to get away with my hubby and have a full week of relaxation together. We stayed at the Sandals Halcyon in St Lucia. It is a quiet resort, with not a lot of night life. That suited us perfectly for this trip since I obviously was not there to party the night away! There are 3 Sandals Resorts in St Lucia and you can shuttle between the 3 resorts. We had a great time at all 3 and the beach at The Grande was the most beautiful I have ever seen.

Sandals St Lucia

The food was plentiful and I was on vacation so I definitely steered away from my usual diet. My…

My Fit Pregnancy Blog!

Fit Pregnancy blog

It has been a very busy 2 weeks for us. I just got back from St Lucia this past weekend so I have not been able to post about week 21 till today. I will be doing Week 21 and 22 today for you guys that are keeping up with my pregnancy journey. I have been able to continue my workouts daily. I feel very lucky to still have all the energy that I do have to make it to the gym everyday and it is in my building so I do not really have any excuses about getting there. I have slowed down a little on the weight lifting and I have been mainly focusing on incline treadmill routines and elliptical cardio sessions.
