Good Afternoon Fashion Lovers! I have to say that yesterdays Nanette Lepore show was my favorite of the week. I may be slightly biased since Nanette has been my favorite designer for a few years now and I do own some of her beautiful work and cherish it. The show started off yesterday with a gorgeous color palette of berry tones. The colors were so gorgeous, almost as gorgeous as the luxe fabrics that were chosen for the pieces. I loved the feminine touches and the use of chiffon. It was a departure from all the masculine inspired pieces that I have seen this week and I am crazy about it. The dress pictured above is definitely on my list of must haves for fall. As always Nanette used some of the best prints of the week. This lady I tell you can really work a print. Here is a look at some of the great pieces from the Nanette Lepore Fall 2014 showing:
What was your favorite show of the whole week?
Also what is your favorite trend that you saw on the runways?
I love a great deal. Cyber Monday is full of fantastic deals for Christmas gifts or if you want to buy yourself something special for the holidays. Here are some of the deals that I hope to take advantage of:
Nanette Lepore is having an extra 20% off sitewide starting at midnight!
Back in the Spring I went to the Nanette Lepore Sample Sale and I wrote about it check out the post right here. What can I say about Nanette Lepore… I love her! Her designs are incredible every season and the best part is…. the clothes are made right here in NYC! That makes her one of my fashion heroes right there. Now to the Sample Sale!
Being that I am 21+ weeks pregnant I should probably not be attempting to shop sample sales that are not maternity wear but it is Nanette so I had to do it. I knew going in that the things that normally would flatter may not so I was not surprised by how horrified I was with how I looked in a lot of these gorgeous garments. There was so much to chose from, new production, old production and samples. Last time I bought a few new production pieces and my hubby was not to pleased so this time I scoured the old production and samples to find some goodies for this season and my baby bump! Here is what I ended up with:
I got this gorgeous cobalt blue sweater dress. I could not find the original style name or picture online of this one. If anyone knows please let me know. I got this little gem for the amazing price of $60.00 and I love it! It will get a lot of wear this holiday season for sure.
Another gorgeous piece that I will be wearing over the holidays is the Bumper Car Top. This silk top features a scoop neckline. Studs at concealed button front closure and cuff.
I love the details on this beautiful silk blouse. I was on the hunt for things that I will get wear of over the holiday season. This will go great with my leather leggings! This was a steal at $90.00.
I already own this fabulous silk blouse in cream and it is one of my favorite things in my closet. It was fate when I spotted this beauty all alone in the sample section. I knew that even if the bottom button is already a little tight I will make great use of this blouse after little peanut is born. I could not pass up the price either $50.00!
Lastly I got these rain boots. I live in NYC and it rains way more than it snows. Rain Boots are a must here in the city and I could not pass up the $25.00 price tag! If you are in NYC this week the sample sale will be going on till Thursday, November 21st, 2013. It is worth checking it out for sure!
225 West 35th St (between 7th and 8th) 4th floor.

It is the time of year again. Fall is my favorite season for clothes shopping and I can not wait to go and grab some pieces to add to my wardrobe. Here is a look at some of the things that are on my shopping list:
Boots: This year I am looking for something a little bit of an edge. Lucky for me there is tons to choose from this year, lots of buckles and combat style boots!
Statement Outerwear: I have been seeing more statement outerwear this season. There is a lot of jackets and coats with great textures and patterns.
Hats: I know hats are not for everyone but I happen to love them. A great hat can be hard to find, so it is a good thing there are lots to chose from this fall.
Classic Prints: There are tons of prints out there this fall. Thankfully a lot of them I already have in my closet! I am loving all the houndstooth and animal print I am seeing in my favorite stores.
Nanette Lepore $448.00
Emerald Green: One of the biggest colors this fall season is Emerald Green. Make sure to grab a piece or two of the hottest color trend.
Leather: As always leather is a key statement for fall. I have always loved leather but now it is added on as an accent on everything. I am a huge fan but I am trying to not buy to much because as most trends it may not be around next year.
I am a HUGE fan of Nanette Lepore. As Jon will tell you I spent way over my budget at the sample sale this year. I was so excited to see Nanette’s Spring Collection. I can tell you it did not disappoint. Here are some of my favorite looks from the show:
Yesterday I decided to head on over to the Nanette Lepore Spring 2013 Sample Sale. I was in heaven there was so much to chose from. I went in with a budget, I was going to buy one dress and spend no more than $150. Well, this is not what happened. I tried on many items, I loved all of them. I wandered the racks for about 2 hours trying to decide what to put back. I could not put anything back. I called Jon and told him I was holding about $500 In my hands and he said do not do it. Well…… it happened. Rookie mistake though because there are about 10 sample sales this week that I would have loved to have gone to. I can not now because of my lack of funds. I will plan better next time I swear. Here is a look at what I purchased:
This awesome blouse originally $258 I got for $90. It fits amazingly. I was in love.
This awesome neon dress was originally $368. I got it for $145. I love it for summer!
This little number is not available anymore was originally $368. I picked it up for $95 and it will be awesome on my trip to Jamaica coming up!
This last one I fell in love with immediately and knew I had to have her! I saw this one online so i was kind of on the look out for it. This runway dress fits fantastic and the material is out of this world!! LOVE IT. Originally $448 I got this one for the bargain price of $145. Jon says it was not a bargain but I beg to differ. I Love it!!
